Anti-Aging

Botox What they are: Both Botox and Dysport are neuromodulators, meaning they are injectable substances that temporarily block nerve signals to muscles, leading to a smoother, more relaxed appearance of the skin. How they work: They work by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. FDA-Approved Uses: Botox: FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. Dysport: Dysport: FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Differences: Formulation: While both are derived from botulinum toxin, their protein content differs due to manufacturing variations. ‌ Onset of Results: Dysport’s effects can be seen within 3-5 days, while Botox injections may take 7-14 days to fully take effect. Duration: Both typically last for 3 months. Dysport vs Botox: What’s the Difference? – NAD Benefits: Chronic pain, stress, inflammation Addiction, excessive alcohol consumption depression, and age-related cognitive decline Brain boost/mental alertness Helps lower blood pressure Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) pharmacology is a promising class of treatments for age-related conditions that are likely to have a favorable side effect profile for human use, given the widespread use of the NAD precursor vitamin B3 supplements. 1. B12/L-CARNITINE Combining B12 and L-carnitine supplements may offer benefits like improved energy levels, enhanced fat burning, and potentially better endurance and athletic performance, though more research is needed to fully understand these effects. Here’s a more detailed look at the potential benefits: Potential Benefits: Energy Production: B12 is crucial for energy production, while L-carnitine helps the body use fat for energy. Fat Metabolism: L-carnitine plays a role in transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are burned for energy, potentially aiding in fat loss. Improved Endurance and Athletic Performance: Some studies suggest that L-carnitine supplementation can improve endurance and exercise performance. Muscle Function: L-carnitine may help reduce muscle fatigue and soreness during and after exercise. Cognitive Function: B12 is essential for nerve function and brain health, and some studies suggest that B12 deficiency can lead to cognitive problems. Heart Health: Some research suggests that L-carnitine may have a positive impact on heart health. L-Carnitine: Benefits, Side Effects, Sources, and Dosage 2. GLUTATHIONE WITH VITAMIN C & ZINC Combining glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc may offer synergistic benefits for immune support, antioxidant protection, and overall health. Glutathione is a tripeptide (cysteine, glycine, and glutamic acid) found in relatively high concentrations in many bodily tissues. It plays a pivotal role in reducing oxidative stress, maintaining redox balance, enhancing metabolic detoxification, and regulating the immune system. What is glutathione best for? Glutathione is best known for repairing damaged cells in your body. It may help ward off a variety of diseases, such as neurological disorders, liver disease, certain heart conditions, autoimmune disorders, respiratory diseases, and other medical conditions. Semaglutide

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist semaglutide for chronic weight management. It is a feasible option for chronic weight management, with data for up to 2 years. It is a once-weekly weight loss medication.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist recently for weight management in patients with a BMI of ≥30 kg/m2 or ≥27 kg/m2 with more than one weight-related comorbidity.

GLP-1 is an incretin hormone with receptors present in several areas of the body, including pancreatic alpha and beta cells, the stomach, and the central nervous system. GLP-1 is a target for weight management as it slows gastric emptying and promotes satiety, which leads to a reduction in food intake. Additionally, GLP-1 crosses the blood-brain barrier where it activates areas of the hypothalamus and prefrontal cortex and regulates feeding behavior.

Tirzepatide

TIRZEPATIDE (GLP1/GIP)

Tirzepatide is an acylated peptide engineered to activate the GIP and GLP-1 receptors, key mediators of insulin secretion that are also expressed in regions of the brain that regulate food intake. Tirzepatide was significantly more effective in reducing HgA1c and body weight.

The dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist tirzepatide seems to be not just a new antidiabetic medication. Administered as a subcutaneous weekly injection, it is a manifold single pharmacological agent that has the ability to significantly lower glucose levels, as well as improve insulin sensitivity, reduce weight and amend dyslipidemia favorably modifying the lipid profile.
